In my opinion Conair makes GREAT curling irons. Plus you odn't have to spend a fortune.
As for Shampoo and conditioner: Pantene or Herbal Essences. Both have many different kinds for all hair types imaginable ! Some of my favourites from Pantene are The straightening one, or the ice shine. And from Herbal Essences; Dangerously Straight, Body Envy, Hello Hydration, or Totally twisted.

I like the brand Hot Tools. It is ceramic and ceramic is better for the hair. Try using professional products. They are way less drying then stuff you can get in the drug store.
