Will wash n curl shampoo work for me?

when i was little i had really curly hair but as i started getting odler my hair got straighter and straighter now its alittle bit wavy. so will wash n curl shampoo work for meWill wash n curl shampoo work for me?
If you hair is already wavy it may give you a bit more of a curl. Those types of products usually only give hair that has curl already more of a boost, they wont work on straight hair

If you need anymore help feel free to ask or visit my forum:

http://mysticbeauty0.proboards74.com/ind鈥?/a>Will wash n curl shampoo work for me?
nope, it's just a scam. i tried it years ago and it didn't work. they say u're supposed to curl ur hair urself after using the shampoo %26amp; it will help the curls stay. nothing i did worked so save ur money %26amp; get a perm.
It works well if you set or style your hair as it's drying, but not as much if you just wash your hair and let it hang to dry naturally. It'll help it hold any curl. Use a defuser on your blow dryer, too, so if you dry it, the air current is gentle and won't blow the curl out.
if ur hair is curly but if not it wil make it just wavey
sure.. it will work......
Well using the wash and curl and other products may help,,but if u have a relaxer theres really no chance.
Find a curl serum. Try bedhead.
It's all hype...I tried the product because I too have natural wave in my hair and I noticed no difference whatsoever. I opted for a short do so that I could get my curls back. My advice??? Save your money
consult a hair stylist~
that stuff doesn't work.... all you have to do is spray some gel and hair spray in your hair when its wet.... and then with a defuser and blow dryer start at the bottom and and move the defuser in circles.... and for any pieces that didn't get curly just go back with a 1 inch curling iron and redo them
probably not, that stuff never works

Do curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner really work, even on straight hair?

Yeah, They work really well on straight hair, But for curly it just tames it.

I have a friend who has straight hair and when she uses it is really noticable, and curly.

Go ahead and try it if you have straight hair. It works really well.Do curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner really work, even on straight hair?
Yes, my friend accidentally used one of those and her hair was curly for days.Do curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner really work, even on straight hair?
I spend $34 on curl-enhancing shampoo and conditioner... and found out that the CUT of your hair makes a big difference in whether or not this actually works. If you have many layers, then it is more likely to make your hair wavy... it won't be super curly if you have straight hair... and it usually only lasts one or two days.

I did discover that the curl-enhancing stuff helps your hair HOLD a curl better if you curl your hair after it is dry.

Use a diffuser on your blow dryer and scrunch up your hair... it helps if you have some sort of curl-enhancing product to put in your hair before you blow dry it as well...

But if you are looking for curly hair just out of the bottle, you will be disappointed. I was. And it wasn't worth the $34!!!!
I actually use straightening shampoo and conditioner. They seem to work better than using normal shampoo. I'm not sure about curl-enhancing shampoo and conditioner, but I would guess that they would help a little (also depending on the brand). You could also use other products on your hair to help as well.
They work to some degree. They don't fully complete the style, like boom when you get out of the shower, but they do help in the first stages when you do your hair. You have to actually scrunch or whatever style you want after you use the shampoo and conditioner to get the complete look, otherwise it looks messy, but not in a good way, just poorly done.

Has anyone here tried Pantene Hydrating Curls Shampoo?

Is the Pantene Hydrating Curls shampoo any good? It looks like this: http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/27626/鈥?/a>

thanks =)Has anyone here tried Pantene Hydrating Curls Shampoo?
I use it and LOVE it!

I have tried everything from cheapo to bumble and bumble...everything.

This is by far the BEST. I use the smooth one (that's green) when I straighten my hair as well. I love all of their curly products.Has anyone here tried Pantene Hydrating Curls Shampoo?
yeah, it works about as good as any other shampoo

what curls really need is moisture, so try a mask like Pantene Pro V Restoratives Time Renewal Replenishing Mask

i dont know if its the best, but its my favorite so far, it really makes a difference in how shiny and soft my hair is, and i think my curls hold better. I use it instead of regular conditioner 1-2 per week
Hey.

I have used it, i think it makes the curls more bouncy %26amp; full [[:

  • Do those 'curling' shampoos really work?

if so have you used? how does it work? how does it curl? nice curls?Do those 'curling' shampoos really work?
As another person said, it is generally for defining or maintaining existing curls. Of course, I imagine it may help if you do a soft set (like use curlers on damp hair after using this product and sleep on them).Do those 'curling' shampoos really work?
I tried wash 'n curl once...it didn't work for me. It got a little bit wavy and that was it.
If you already have curly hair they do.
no. my sister, who wanted to curl her hair sooo badd tried to find a curling shampoo. yeah, she bought cheap to pricey. and none really worked.

i think you can use good shampoo that strengthens your hair so it would be easier to curl, like pateen or garnier. i think herbal essence is a little dry. i dont know, widen your shampoo variety (buy the smaller sizes), and make a chart of effects, prices, and how much people buy it. maybe that might make you find the perfect one.
it's not like they curl straight hair, they just define the curls for who already got curly hair, but if you wanna get curly hair that last for a while get a perm at the hair dresser, it lasts for about 3 months and you get beautiful curls...

I was wondering if curling shampoos are good for perms like curl life or are they only for natural curls?

The curling shampoos seem to make my perm flat! any suggestions??I was wondering if curling shampoos are good for perms like curl life or are they only for natural curls?
Curling shampoos are made for both natural and permed curls, so it麓s kinda strange they make your hair flat. John Frieda range of products is really, really good. Only thing I can advise you to do (unless you already know) is to NEVER apply conditioner on all of your hair, but only in the tips. Always rince well, shampoo and conditioner that is. Your hair is clean if it squeaks. ;)

Blow-drying upside down avoids flatness as well, always use hairspray that way too. Maybe you could knead a special product for curls (such as gel or foam) before blow-drying it - however, you should decide on one method as too many hair care products weigh your hair down. =)

What shampoo can i use for color treated hair and to enhance my curls?

I just got my hair highlighted, and i don't know what shampoo and conditioner to use to help the color stay in well....also, i have naturally curly hair and i want to enhance the curls. I don't want a super expensive shampoo though...suggestions??What shampoo can i use for color treated hair and to enhance my curls?
    old spice shower gel...

I know it is not shampoo , but it usually works as a shampoo and conditiner and shampoo as one,

I know some one who does this to enhance their curls.. The scent disappers in a few moments... Do not put perfume over it through.. it may ruin ur hair for good!!!

It is a very in-expense thing.!.What shampoo can i use for color treated hair and to enhance my curls?
you can this one shampoo that i use called wash n' curl shampoo. its about $9.95 online you can order it. it works for me.
they had a comercial other day with Eva longoria for haircolor. to keep color longer go to store youll see it like dark pink %26amp; silver tube- bottles... smaller not like big bottle of shampoo..
biore is always good for my highlighted hair

I'm growing out my hair long, which is the best shampoo/conditioner to treat my curls to grow long and healthy

I'm using Pantene right now, any other tips? Maybe a curling shampoo would be good, so the curls are strengthening at the same time of the growth?I'm growing out my hair long, which is the best shampoo/conditioner to treat my curls to grow long and healthy
Pantene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm growing out my hair long, which is the best shampoo/conditioner to treat my curls to grow long and healthy
Stop using Pantene as soon as the bottle is used up. It contains a type of wax floors are treated with, which builds up on your hair.

I would try different curl shampoos, don't just use one all the time. It's good to switch around and have variety.
I don't know what's best, I think Pantene is pretty good, but in my experience all ringlets turn into looser curls or waves at waist length and they never come back. Maybe there's a product that prevents this, but I haven't heard of it.
it is obveouse that you need to use sunsilk shampoo and condioner for your type of hair.
Well first off STOP using Pantene!!!!!!! It is horrible...it has wax and plastic particles in it that build up on your hair and will cause it to break off. You should take vitamins (such as prenatals that you can find at Walmart) to make your hair grow faster. If you want something cheaper from a drug store or grocery...Dove is great. At a salon Bed Head for curls is wonderful. Always Always use conditioner. Only wash your hair everyother day. Everyday makes hair even drier. Bed Head Curls Rock is a great cream for curls.

Hair grows about a 1/2 inch a month on average. You should get a trim (only 1/4';) every 3-4 months.

    Hope this helps your curlys!!!!!!!!
If you get a trim when the moon is waning then it will grow faster. That is between the full moon and the new moon.
you can use pantenne brunette expressions
    garnier new curl and shine
In 2004 my hair was short like a guys-now its almost down by my bra strap in back. Ive used something called Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner. Its actually for horse's mane's and tail's! You can get it at the grocery store or at a pet store! Its supposed to make your hair thicker, longer and more silky. Good luck...

  • Is there a shampoo out there that makes your hair actually CURL?

My hair is so straight and i never hav time to curl it with a curling iron... i want my hair curly. is there a such shampoo that can do the job?Is there a shampoo out there that makes your hair actually CURL?
No Shampoo in the world will make straight hair curly.

No Hair styling product in the world will make ';so straight'; hair, curly without styling time, and most likey a curling iron.

';bringing sexy back'; is misleading you for sure by offering you 6 products to do it? what a joke...

she may like them (and probally works for them) but it will not do what your asking...

Curling Irons, Perms(ick), and hot/cold rollers are your options Sorry, but hope that helps

Good luckIs there a shampoo out there that makes your hair actually CURL?
Well, garnier fructis sleek and shine system has always managed to make my hair more curly (and shiny). But my only advice is to never blow dry or diffuse your hair after using, only towel dry only or even air dry if you have time. There are these special, waffle knit towels you can buy for like 30 bucks that dry your hair super fast.
I use Ganier products when I want my hair to curl and not frizz. I use the curling shampoo and conditioner. Then, I finish with the spray in gel. When you get out of the shower towel dry your hair. Turn your head upside down and spray the gel evenly through. Run your fingers through it to make sure the gel is throughout your hair. Shake your hair back and forth a few times. Then bend your head back over and scrunch your hair. You can let your hair air dry or you can blow dry it. This always works for me. I love these products because they work, are in my price range, and they smell awesome!

    sunsilk (the green kind)
i get sunsilk for straight hair. im sure theres one for curly too.

What type of shampoo and conditioner for naturally curly, blonde hair to bring out curls?

So I need a shampoo and conditioner that are:

    Cheap ($5 or below each)

    Bring out curls

    Dosn't have any harmful chemicals

Won't be bad for long hair

Won't be bad for blonde hair

I can get at my local Walmart

    Makes wavy hair more curly

    And smells good :-)

Thank you all! What type of shampoo and conditioner for naturally curly, blonde hair to bring out curls?
Herbal Essences re-vamped their whole product line and came out with a great shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. Garnier Fructis also works well, and both of these brands smell great and you can get them anywhere! What type of shampoo and conditioner for naturally curly, blonde hair to bring out curls?
Really, to be honest, every shampoo that you will find at wall mart, will have damaging chemicals. Try cleansing your hair with just conditioner. Put some on your fingertips, and massage your scalp. In a couple of weeks, your curls will be more defined, and I promise, your hair will still get clean.

I have a good conditioner, it is under 5 dollars, but you have to get it at Sally Beauty Supply. It is called Proclaim Olive Glossing Conditioner.
I LOVE the smell and results from products called ';Noodle Head';; they have a creme that squirts out of the bottle for styling, that smells YUMMY!!---it's something that to my towel-dried hair, I squirt a little in the palm of my hand---rub my hands together to distribute it all over my fingers and palm, and dab my hair all over upside down. The I comb it loosely, and toss my head to let it fall nicely---and I'm DONE!

well i have long curly, brown hair, and the shampoo that i use is made just for curly hair. Tresseme. it costs like 4 dollars for the shampoo. same thing for the conditioner. it doesn't have harsh chemicals and isnt treated on animals, another plus. hope it works.
    i use..

    herbal essences

    totally twisted

    curls %26amp; waves

    shampoo , and conditioner

they keep my hair healthy , strong, and keep my curls refined and manageable

    and it smells great!

but idk about the price, my mom bought it.

but im sure it costs less than 5$
i really like aussie catch the wave. it smells really good-like grapes. it also really helps define curls and keep them from getting really frizzy. :)

Can a shampoo curl hair permanetly?

My friend has extremely curly hair. She has little ringlets like Taylor Swift's. She says that her hair used to just be curly until she used a type of shampoo made by dove like 5 years ago and then it changed. Is that possible? She swears it was the shampoo but I'm not so sure. Thanks for your time!!Can a shampoo curl hair permanetly?
no , sometimes as you get older ur hair can get straighter or wavier, prettier or uglier. im guessing her hair has genetically gone prettier

    or

    Flex Shampoo

I keep my hair very very curly and cute and its not really about the shampoo as much as the way you treat it. For example when you step out of the shower don't brush it and put it in a bun. Also you don't need conditioner every shower the less you use the curlier your hair will be so only get every singal tangle out 1-2 times a week.

also when its drying play around with it: grab it bunch it twirl it

this will garentee Payton Soywer curls

its actually made all of his curls nice and the good thing is its pretty cheap. its an actual saloon brand its great!. and it actually made my wavy hair come out more wavy. i really recommend the shampoo/conditioner.

but if you want to go cheaper (but not as good) then go with Pantiene for curls.
hiaaya use john frieda straight ahead i know its for straight hair but it makes the hair more even and leaves perfect curls i use ita ll the time and i have curly/wavey thick hair try it tell me if it works for you xxxxxx good luck
Curls and shine leave in conditioner by garnier works really well. I have wavy hair and it works really well. But put it in your hair when it's still wet.

What shampoo and conditioner will make my hair grow longer and tame my curls down to waves?

I just started using Mane N' Tail shampoo and garnier fructis sleek and shine for the conditioner, instead of that shampoo and conditioner what others can i use? What shampoo and conditioner will make my hair grow longer and tame my curls down to waves?
    http://petads.bappy.com/beauty/hair.html

    Try taking a multivitamin

Use mane %26amp; tail shampoo and conditioner

    Use hot oil treatments

    Eat A balanced diet

    Drink Lots Of Water

http://petads.bappy.com/beauty/hair.htmlWhat shampoo and conditioner will make my hair grow longer and tame my curls down to waves?
I use conditioner instead of shampoo most of the time and i now apply the conditioner or shampoo on top of my head and work it down without messing up the hair and then rinse it.. use paper towel to absorb the moisture and then put gel on the paper towel spread it around and place it on top of my hair for a while then comb it out.. No more crazy curls or frizz...
If you have black girl hair like me the you really cant tame you hair down, trust me I'd tried, the only thing you can do is get a relaxer in you hair.It makes it wavy and soft. You have to do it every 6 months because your hair will grow and you roots will be curly.
to boost hair growth take Prenatal vitamins and they will help! a vitamin is not anything special it is simply extracted and concentrated ';food'; so it is safe!

take Biotin as well and do the following to boost hair growth

if you take external and internal steps as I have outlined

There are several ways to promote hair growth

    take vitamin C and B

take some amino acid pills-hair needs protein to grow

Take selium to boost immune system

    You should increase protein intake

Vitamin E And D are great for hair health

You need lots of vegetables and fruits

Externally get good hair oil like Mira hair oil

It will promote faster hair growth-this one is crucial but it is an external application

    this is the site

Pantene is a God-send! It hydrates the hair, makes it soft and silky. I wish it did more for my curl, but most are underneath the outer layer and hide anyway. Definitely try it! The shampoo itself is very creamy and thick, you can feel it in your hand!

Some leave in conditioners that have a little hold... i use curl junkie honey butta and it gives me a nice little wave... but there is no shampoo or conditioner that will give you real curls.

鈮?; - )Has anyone tried wash and curl shampoo?
I have somewhat wavey hair, trust me, I have looked. Sorry to say, but thus far I haven't found any shampoo that makes my hair more curly than any other. Even with sticking with them for a set period of time. You could curl your hair. Not with an Iron, but with curlers. That works the best for me. It doesn't damage your hair and it makes the curls very natural looking. Wish I could help out more!

    Best of luck!

What is the best shampoo and conditioner to create long-lasting, tight & bouncy curls?

I'm wondering which shampoo and conditioner really work the best. I've considered Pantene Pro-V's Hydrating Curls, Herbal Essences Totally Twisted, Regis Hair Salon's Curl Lock, and Garnier Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me which one of these is best. My hair is already naturally wavy, though I would really like to give it a lot more curl. Please and thank you in advance if you could explain to me what made the brand you prefer the one that stood out to you! What is the best shampoo and conditioner to create long-lasting, tight %26amp; bouncy curls?
Well, only one of those shampoos is actually good for your hair. All the others will leave waxes and other ingredients on your hair and leave them dull, dingy, and dehydrated. If you get Regis designLine Curl Lock, [which I work for a Regis salon, so maybe I am a bit biased] it will help hold your curls. But, it is not the shampoo and conditioner that will hold your curls. It's the after product...ie mousse, gel, holding cream, etc. If you go with Regis Curl Lock shampoo and conditioner combo, get the Regis Curl Lock Cream. It has a light smell, and it holds all day! It keeps your curls curly and definitely helps with the frizz factor. Another one I like is Curls Rock by Catwalk [Tigi]. It is basically the same as the Curl Lock Cream, except this one has a nicer smell and I think it is a dollar more...[not that the Regis one doesn't smell good...the Curls Rock one smells better]. Well, I hope this has helped! What is the best shampoo and conditioner to create long-lasting, tight %26amp; bouncy curls?
Well I use Pantene Pro-V cuz thats what i got right now. But my favorite was curl.life (found at all beauty salons, yes even greatclips). If you want a little extra curling power, id buy the whole line with the contouring milk and finishing spray. It makes my ringlets shine and not frizz during the day!
Aveda has a new line that is very cool called ';Be Curly.'; My daughter is biracial and she has wery curly hair. I used this cream that I got a sample of at the salon. I put it on her hair when it was wet and when her hair dried (air dry) she had the coolest ringlets, when normally her hair gets kind of frizzy. The line includes a shampoo, conditioner and balm. you have to buy it at an Aveda shop or salon.

    Best regards!
My hair is like that too, although it falls flat in front for some reason. When I want to get maximum wave, I use ';Wash and Curl'; (not sure whether the ';and'; is an ';and,'; an ';'n,'; or an %26amp;). I let it drip for a few minutes when I get out of the shower and then I just use my hands to scrunch it. It stays and looks great.

Is there a shampoo that curls hair?

Is there a shampoo I can use at night that will curl or wave my hair while I sleep? Is there a shampoo that curls hair?
SUNSILK- Captivating Curls (The Green One)Is there a shampoo that curls hair?
No, there is no such thing. The only way to change the curl pattern of your hair is to break one of the bonds that holds hair together and to reform it to a different shape. Shampoo molecules go into the hair shaft, attach themselves to molecules of dirt and oil, and wash out. So you see, there is no way that shampoo (or any product for that matter) can change the curl pattern of your hair.
you can try sunsilk or herbal essances curl shampoo, but i would sugest using mouuse and curling products, or maybe before you go to bed put velcro rollers in, or braid your hair.
SUNSILK - but I'm not sure which one.

Tresemme Curl Shampoo, does it work?

I have never tried it but didn't know if this stuff really works or not...does it make your hair curly after you use it? If no twhat does it do?Tresemme Curl Shampoo, does it work?
in all my experience of hair products and hair care, i don't think that you can get curls if you have straight hair from a bottle. it's just not happening. the only way to change your hair is to change the structure of it, through a perm, flat iron, hair dye, etc. i wouldn't count on it too much, but it may give you a slight curl depending on how your hair is right now. also, the way you style it is important, you need to scrunch!!Tresemme Curl Shampoo, does it work?

It doesnt make your hair curly... it just defines either natural curls or permed curls....makes them look tighter.

How do I get my hair curly without a curling iron or special shampoo?

I know you can get your hair wavy by braiding your hair at night and then going to bed with your hair in briads and then when you wake up: TA DA! You have nice waves. But is there a way to get my hair curly without special shampoo or using a curling iron? *note* my hair is really stright naturally. I just think itd be nice to have curly hair for once, but using the curling iron is such a pain and takes forever in the morning so any suggestions? THanks (: I appreciate any help!

P.S. Not getting a perm...How do I get my hair curly without a curling iron or special shampoo?
Use texturizing mousse or texturizing hairspray, and tie your hair in a loose bun before you go to bed. Then, when u wake up, untie and ta da! Or, after you wash your hair when your hair is still damp, you can do the same thing (except for the going to bed part) and untie your hair when it's dry. I've seen my my cuzin do that and the results are amazing! How do I get my hair curly without a curling iron or special shampoo?
    This works pretty well

take a small section of your almost-dry hair, like maybe 1/4 an inch, and wind it around your fingers all the way up to your scalp. Carefully take the curl and pin it to your head using bobby pins. Do this with all of your hair. Spray with a bit of hairspray and let it dry, then carefully take out the bobby pins and unwind the curls. Don't brush your hair, just use your fingers to gently separate the curls. You can shake your head upside down to give it a bit more volume.

:) that works for me, it might work for you too. Also, you can do it at night and sleep with your hair in the bobby pins, then if it's not quite dry just blast it with a blow dryer then take the pins out and go.
you can use a scrunching gel aussie makes a good one

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate-free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells absolutely awesome! Organix has different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! They have an Organix Curling Citrus Mango collection which is incredible! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, Kroger, Jewel, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!!!

I use Joico KPAK shampoo, conditioner and resconstructor once a week. (Walmart and Rite Aid sometimes has it as well as http://salonsavings.com/joico/ ) The online store has the best prices for the above products...

The difference between pro and supermarket shampoo's lies in the ph level as well as it being concentrated, using less is more, distributing through your hands first using a quarter size amount is all you need, I only have to buy twice a year.

The smoothing balm and styling elixer are awesome as well.

Leave in conditioners, INTEGRITY or Stregnthing Tonic applied before styling products will amaze you at the difference.

You will sucessfully tame your hair. The Joico smoothing balm is extremely helpful because its heat activated...

Wash in curl works great. I have very thick long hair and it works for me. Just wash your hair with it and style. It will hold!
theres a product called ';wash n curl'; its the original curling shampoo.
no i when 2 a beauty supplies store and asked the same thing and the lady told me that nothing but a perm will make straight hair curly
there is no product that will magically curl your hair but there are shampoos that aid in the curl holding factor. like the above try the totlly twisted or any curl enhancing shampoo.
yes there is a shampoo called ';wash %26amp; curl'; made by nutra care. I bought some at the pharmacy, like walgreens or somthing like that.

  • Is there a shampoo I can buy that will literally curl my hair for me?

I've seen commercials for stuff that curls your hair, does that mean if i use it even though I have very straight hair it'll be curly when I dry it? Or does it just help to curl it and you still use a curling iron?Is there a shampoo I can buy that will literally curl my hair for me?
there is no such a thing called curling shampoo but the is some products just like curls activator or curls definer.

Try Alfaparf curls definer. Is there a shampoo I can buy that will literally curl my hair for me?
The shampoo itself will not curl your hair. It will just make it take a curl better when you use a curling iron.
There isn't a miracle shampoo that when your hair drys it will be curly. Yes, shampoo will support your hair if you want it to be curly but none other than that. You will have to use a curling iron to get the defined curls that you want unless you have natural curls or a perm.
It just helps the curls stay in your hair, and it will emphasize the curl if you HAVE curl in your hair.
No shampoo, conditioner or hair product will change your natural hair style. You'll have to curl it yourself.

Is John Frieda a good shampoo for curls?

I'm thinking of trying it, I've been trying to find a good shampoo. The best I've found is Pantene but people keep telling me it's bad for your hair. Is that true?

Anyone know a good curl shampoo? Is John Frieda a good shampoo for curls?
yes it true but i think that john frieda shampoo works perfect but u need to get the one that say:CURLS AND WAVE I HAVE IT AND IT WORKS GREAt:]Is John Frieda a good shampoo for curls?
All drugstore shampoo is bad for your hair, though Pantene is the worst. The chemicals are too harsh and they are filled with wax. Now, shampoo molecules go into the hair shaft, attach themselves to molecules of dirt and oil, and wash out. So shampoo cleans hair, that is all it can do, no shampoo can do anything for curls. The weight from the wax in drugstore shampoo can pull your curls out by weighing them down. So using a salon quality shampoo and conditioner can remove that buildup and allow your natural curls to curl up better.
Yes, John Frieda Frizz-Ease is awesome. I would definitely recommend it.

Don't try Garnier though - it coats your hair.

The one I particularly like right now though it Herbal Essences Totally Twisted. It's awesome, plus it smells great!
Yes, Pantene is bad for you hair is it coats it in a waxy layer.

John Frieda products are AWESOME! I use all of his products! Highly reccomended!

Is it just for naturally straight hair, and would it affect my hair when I want to curl it or crimp it?I straighten my hair almost everyday, but sometimes I crimp it or curl it. Anyways what shampoo should i use?
probably something that keeps your hair mosturized otherwise all the ironing to your hair will make it dry out and die basically, i use garnier fruitis:moisture lock. it keeps my hair nioce and shiny. you could technically use any shampoo you just nned to make sure you use a good conditioner.I straighten my hair almost everyday, but sometimes I crimp it or curl it. Anyways what shampoo should i use?
redken smooth down shampoo and conditioner.

    this shampoo is amazing

i had problems with my hair as well because i straightened it everyday without protecting my hair from the heat

it looked completely gross when i went back to the salon to get it cut one of the ladies there recommended this shampoo and conditioner.

and its amazing...my hair is really healthy now

also before i straighten my hair i put

in chi 44 iron guard its a spray in a red bottle

and i use a bit of chi infra treatment
I was going to say a specialized shampoo based on your normal hair type, but since you change your hair style a lot, especially with irons, I would strongly recommend something that keeps it well moisturized - your hair can dry out from using heating devices on it too much. Also use something that helps lessen damage from heating devices.

I apologize that I can't recommend anything specific, but I know those types of shampoo exist. Brands that I have had success with, if it helps, are Suave and Pantene. Tresemme is also good.
You should use bedhead Control Freak Shampoo and Conditioner.

It really helps because it moisturizes hair and it also makes you hair smell so good! But if you want your hair to grow and be healthy, stop putting heat on it everyday. It's going to fry and might look like this in a few years : http://www.hairrepairteam.com/images/reb鈥?/a>

    Good luck!
I'd go with sunsilk. It works really nicely and you can use different ones too. I'd go with the moisturizing one and the one for straight hair. It keeps your hair really soft even if you straighten it a lot and prevents split ends. Switch 'em up after awhile if you want to.
i dry, and straighten my hair every day to. i us tresemme heat. its made specifically for hair that has a lot of heat damage. they also have a really good heat protector that you spray on your hair before each time you put heat on it. its in a red bottle.

    hope this helps

im not african american but i do have very thick curly hair.. and i swear ive tried every product out there.. i like garnier fructice.. herbal essences doesnt work for me.. and pantene. make sure u get the shampoo that is made for curly hair. if u want a hair straightener try the royale. i got one for $150 and it works great. u may think its not worth it but its is. think about how much it costs to get ur hair straight mines like 40. it usually take me 2 hours to get my hair straight but with this i did it by myself in 40 minutes. PLUS im really slow.
Not a shampoo. The leave-ins is what work cuz u put it in your hair after u wash it... i recommend Miss Jessies Curly Pudding, Aveda ';Be Curly';. And Curly Buttercream by Miss Jessies is okay but it weighs your hair down.

hey i have REALLY curly frizzy hair and from reading what you have here my best reccomendation for your hair is John Fireda's Frizz-Ease Curl Around Shampoo and Conditioner .It was developed for wavy, curly, frizz-prone hair, it re-awakens and energizes your natural curl patterns for soft, smooth curls with lasting curl definition.it ranges from 6-8 dollars depending on where you shop. I think this is pretty reasonable. I have used this before and personally i think it works great. The smell isn't exactly flowery but it dosent smell bad it has a very distinct smell to it but its not bad .If your worried about how well it cleans up your hair it does a wonderful job it works well with grease and regular hair and damaged hair and all kinds i think.
i have like the same hair as you.. its wavy but not wavy enough with out a product and takes forever to straighten and you have to blow dry before.... Its so annoying.... but i just found this product called S Factor....Its a white bottle with a big red circle and a big s on it and it says below ';Silk smooth moisture serum with sunflower seed extract'; it works really well its not a shampoo though..after i get out of the shower i put like one big squirt into my hand and brush it in with my fingers.... it dos net leave like white spots..its really good... but i know what your going through... O i got it at my hair salon so it should be around.!

after curling shampoo curls your hair, after you wash your hair again, does it become strait again (assumming you have strait hair)..how long does it last?Curling shampoo?
Usually. I have wavyish hair myself, and have yet to find a curling shampoo that really lasts and works. A better alternative is a curling iron or rollers if used correctly.Curling shampoo?
Well, no curling shampoo really curls your hair.

I have naturally curly hair, and it help with the body of mine.

But if you don't have naturally curly hair, then use the shampoo, but expect to put in some curlers or a curling iron after.

The shampoo will help keep the curls in.

I also recommend the conditioner. It will help boost the health meter, since you'd be damaging your hair every time you curl it.
To achieve extra body for your hair, I recommend that you use the Paul Mitchell Extra body range. It contain panthenol which is vitamin B5 and it will bring out the body of your hair. B5 is excellent for your hair it strengthens and repairs your hair whilst giving it a lift. You could use the Paul Mitchell round trip in conjunction with the extra body range as it will help define your curl with out leaving it look or feel crunchy!

Is it a good idea to use a curl activating shampoo, if..?

You normally wear your hair naturally curly (except your bangs).

But sometimes you like to straighten it. (like once a week.)Is it a good idea to use a curl activating shampoo, if..?
Curl activating shampoo will be great for your naturally curly hair. It isn't a miracle worker, but it does help control the frizz a little and won't weight down your curls like other shampoos might.

Don't worry about it being hard to straighten, it won't be a problem at all. It doesn't add much curl to your hair, and with heat the curls can easily be styled to your liking. Is it a good idea to use a curl activating shampoo, if..?
No,I would recomend using a curling iron or scrunching your hair.If you use a curl activating shampoo it will probably cost too much or it won't even work.I tryed one that costs $80.00 and it when I used it I woke up the next day with frizzy and dried hair.
You need to just me yourself, and not what people want you to be. If I wasn' t married and was your age I would ask you but in todays would they want you to be the real you.
The only curl enhancing shampoo that I've heard about is wash 'n curl, and it's supposed to be very drying to the hair. Not sure about any of the others :)

  • Does a ';curl enhancing'; shampoo really work?

been wondering if i should buy one since i'm tired of the time it takes to straighten my hair and the damage it does to the ends...do they really work? how do they work? are there any good brands you can recommend?Does a ';curl enhancing'; shampoo really work?
It will only work if you add product to it.

Heres some tips to getting curly hair, I do my hair curly and a lot of people at my school love it and ask me how. So I'll tell you as well.

Use a shampoo like this one:

    http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>

    http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>

Then when your hair is soaking wet use a curling product like this:

    http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>

    http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>

    http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>

Then when you have that in scrunch up your hair. Scrunch everywhere using your fingers and don't forget the back of your hair. Remember your hair has to be soaking wet and when you put the curling serum products on your hair use a lot.

Then attach a diffuser onto your hair dryer. If you don't know what a diffuser is here is a picture:

    http://www.justbeautifully.co.uk/images/鈥?/a>

You can get one from like any salon I guess. Attach that onto your hair dryer then put your hair into the diffuser and make sure to get a lot of hair into it. Hold it there for 30 seconds or more. Then keep doing that all over your hair. Once your done just shake your hair a little bit and your set! :D!Does a ';curl enhancing'; shampoo really work?

yes. it will help it alot (it helps my hair at least). and if you want it extra curly, dont brush your hair when you come out of the shower - it keeps your natural waves in. i would also recommend letting it air dry. blow dry will make it dry faster, therefore making it starighter.

Yes, there is a method. Here's a video that shows you how to do it.

    Good shampoo for curling hair.?

Okay well I am in a show and everyone does their own hair. The make-up person told me it would be best if I curled it.

I have very curly hair so all I have to do is as soon as I get out of the shower I twist pieces of my hair and when it dries it is curly.

Are there any good shampoo's or products I could use to help me get shiny or very bouncy curls?

P.s. I have short hair, about to the middle of my neck.Good shampoo for curling hair.?

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! Organix has different collections in different scents for different hair types which are all amazing! (they have an Organix Curling Citrus Mango which is incredible!). You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, Walgreens, CVS, etc. Its the best! You'll love it!!!

    .
Try that Horse Shampoo that they use to use on Sex In Then City . . .
for naturally curly hair, i would highly recommend Clairol Herbal Essence SHampoo and conditioner for curly hair. Or John Frieda lines. They always work miracles. Highly recommended!

You might also want to use volumizing spray if your hair is flat on top. Make sure the volume of your hair is distributed evenly, meaning the top and sides are of fairly good volume. (not flat on top and big on the sides)

you may also want to try this tip:-

    1) Blow drying your hair ofter shower, but not making it too dry. people often over use the hairdryer causing the hair to be really dry and frizzy.

    2) after blowdrying your hair, use John Frieda products as shown in the link i had listed below.

Good Luck! and let me know how you get along. x

http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/shopp鈥?/a>What kind of shampoo curls hair?
curling shampoo......IN UR DREAMS, just go to a solan and get it curled, end of problem ,beside s straight hair RULE!!!!!!!!!
I don't know of a shampoo the will definately wash in curls, but here are some things you can do:

Shampoo hair with a cleansing shampoo. Avoid using a rinse out conditioner if it makes your hair too soft or flat. If your hair tangles, spritz while wet with a good detangling spray. Detangle with a wide toothed comb or a pick. Blot hair with an absorbent towel to remove excess water. Apply a good curl enhancing or styling gel.. Smooth the gel through your hair 1/2 inch from your roots to your ends. Blow dry hair with a diffuser attachment without brushing. Use fingers sparingly to lift and separate hair as you dry. Be careful to avoid brushing or tousling your hair as much as possible.

Note: If your hair has been chemically straightened or relaxed be advised that it may not hold the curl from the curling iron or curlers.

When hair is completely dry start at one side of your head and work on two inch sections of hair at a time. Roll each individual section of hair with fast heating large Conair Hot Rollers. Roll the hair in a spiral pattern as if you were creating a spiral curl with the curler. Fasten the curler in place.

If you don't have enough rollers to do your entire head, as you unfasten the newly created curls, pin them carefully in place with a clip or pin. Let the roller re-heat and then apply to a section that has not been curled. Keep the curlers in your hair until they have completely cooled which should be equivalent to 30 minutes. Adjust the time according to your hair texture and needs. Remove the curlers and avoid brushing or touching the curls until you are ready to style.

When you hair is completely cool, use a boars' head paddle brush and lightly brush through the curls to smooth.

When hair is completely smooth start at one side of your head and work on two inch sections of hair at a time. Use a Conair Steam Mist Spiral Curling Iron on each individual section of hair at a time. Shape curls into spirals with the iron as you work from strand to strand. Be sure to keep each strand wrapped around the iron for a few minutes. Adjust the time according to your hair texture and needs. For some people they will only need to use the iron for a few seconds. Thicker hair may require up to a few minutes.

After you remove each curl from the iron, let it completely cool before touching it. Do not brush or touch the newly created curls. When you have finished curling your entire head, spray with a good spray. If any of the curls are not as tight as you would like, use the curling iron to spot curl.

Carefully arrange the spirals with your fingers. Always finish with a light to medium spray to allow your hair to have movement.
No shampoo can actually curl your hair. In order for hair to curl, you have to change the entire composition of it! You can do so by perming it with harsh chemicals, but unfortunately a simple wash and rinse shampoo won't do the trick. Try rollers or a curling iron.
    curling shampoo....
redken has a great shampoo i know it is in a blue/green bottle. the shampoo, conditioner, gel and spray
once u find out tell me too please
There are the temporary curling shampoos, but that will not do everything. You need to style your hair curly.

step 1. blot your hair until it is no longer sopping wet.

step 2. apply gel to hair. I like the pantene curling gel but that's me. Scrunch gel into hair.

Step 3. With a difuser (attachment for hair dryer) dry on lowest setting while scrunching hair.

Step 4. Spray pump hair spray (I like Aussie scrunching spray) into your dry hair. Scrunch one last time.

Tip- If any pieces did not curl, take a curling iron and curl them.

If your hair is SUPER straight, this may not work.

Best curling iron and best shampoo & conditioner?

    Hi,

In my opinion Conair makes GREAT curling irons. Plus you odn't have to spend a fortune.

As for Shampoo and conditioner: Pantene or Herbal Essences. Both have many different kinds for all hair types imaginable ! Some of my favourites from Pantene are The straightening one, or the ice shine. And from Herbal Essences; Dangerously Straight, Body Envy, Hello Hydration, or Totally twisted.

I hope I helped (:Best curling iron and best shampoo %26amp; conditioner?
I like the brand Hot Tools. It is ceramic and ceramic is better for the hair. Try using professional products. They are way less drying then stuff you can get in the drug store.

How can I get my hair more wavy/curling naturally? shampoo or something...?

I have blonde, straight hair, and it does sort of wave when wet, or has hardly noticeable waves normally, but I want my hair to become wavy, like when you twist your hair, wet it, and leave it over night. I don't want to use use gel, or a curler, or braid it, or twist like I do now, but I would use a special shampoo/extra product as long as I could wash it out to have curly hair, I don't want stuff in my hair all the time, or a special brush or something. It would also be nice if the effects were long-lasting (like not just through out the day, but after using it a lot I could miss one day and it'd look very similar...) Thanks in advance:)How can I get my hair more wavy/curling naturally? shampoo or something...?
    redken.

or something. How can I get my hair more wavy/curling naturally? shampoo or something...?
there is no such shampoo that will curl your hair. You will have to use a curling iron. If you are those people that don't have time to curl your hair. The other choice you have is perm. Thats the only way
this is my trick... all the shampoo wavy curly all that crap doesnt work...

    use your natural shampoo

    -add some mousse

let it half dry in a towel

sleep in a damp french braid

    TA DA
Try using a home perm and then super-hydrate your new curls in deep conditioner overnight. then in the morning, rinse your hair, then thoroughly work some scrunching gel into your towel dryed-damp hair. next, rub a few drops of smoothing serum between your fingers and twist sections of hair where you want your curls to be. you'll need about 2 to 3 drops of serum per section, depending on how thick your sections are. air dry, and no not touch. you don't want to mess up the wave of your hair. if you do, you'll have a lot of frizz.
If your hair is wavey then you have a couple of options.

    1. You need to put layers in your hair, I am not saying short layers but the shorter they are then the more curl you will have.

    2. get a perm that is on large rollers, alot of the time if your hair is starting to go curly then a perm will help.

    3. Get a diffuser for your hair dryer. it will also help with the curl, but you will need to put a small amount of some thing like ringlet by redken to keep the curl looking great all day.

This has a semi-pricey initial output since it's made in the UK and not distributed in the US, but the Sedusa diffuser might be a good option for you to try.

    http://www.rockmist.co.uk/

It's about the only way I know to do what you want to do without a special brush, curling iron, perm, or other assorted stuff. Using this, all you need is a little gel to help hold your curls once it's dry. Everyone I know who has one is totally in love with it, and one of them has just wavy hair when she doesn't manipulate it a lot to coax her curls out.

  • Do anyone know any good curl-enhancing shampoo that keep your hair curly?

Curl Enchancing That get straight hair curly that easty to findDo anyone know any good curl-enhancing shampoo that keep your hair curly?
first of all, if your hair is naturally straight, nothing besides a curling iron is going to make it curly. shampoo, conditioners, and styling products don't alter the chemical makeup of your hair, they just enhance from the outside when you have!

if your hair is wavy, and you want to enhance the wave or curl, try Catwalk Curls Rock by TIGI...they have a whole line of shampoo, conditioner, gel, etc. its great stuff, and works, well, but if your hair doesn't naturally have curl, its not going to do a thing.

Does a ';curl enhancing'; shampoo really work?

been wondering if i should buy one since i'm tired of the time it takes to straighten my hair and the damage it does to the ends...do they really work? how do they work? are there any good brands you can recommend?Does a ';curl enhancing'; shampoo really work?

NEITHER is going to make your hair curl unless it is already curly. Those products are designed to control the curl or help it stay in place better.

Do curling shampoos really make straight hair curly?

no they don't make your hair curly, they help your hair hold the curl that you put in it by curlers or curling iron
Hate to rain on your parade but no they don't the makers just want your money...sry%26lt;3
    no they crinkle it
I used one my hair it straight as a board it just gave it more body
    No. I don't think so
I've tryed them and they havent worked for me i think if you have curly hair and you want it strait then bye this stuff its called

    Scruples

    Smooth Out Straightening Gel

Its like 30 dollars a bottle but so worth it

ask a hair stylest if they ever hurd of it ...
It will add some body, and possibly some wave to straight hair. If you want to add more curl to it, wash it at night before bed, put in a ponytail, twist the ponytail, wrap the twisted pony around your first hair band to make a bun, then secure the end with a couple of bobby pins. When you take it down in the morning you will have some nice wave/curls. Don't do this all the time, though, or you will damage your hair. You could also do pincurls, this is very time-consuming, however, but the results are like corkscrews and the curls LAST for the whole day (and usually the next)
not if ur hair is perfectly straight. it has to have some wave to it to work.

  • Is there a shampoo that curls hair after 1 or 2 uses?

I have naturally thin/fine hair. Is there is shampoo I can use that after 1 or 2 uses my hair will be wavy/curly? Thanks I really need help! Curling irons don't work for me!Is there a shampoo that curls hair after 1 or 2 uses?
You can try Wash 'n Curl-- most drug stores/ Wal-marts carry it, but if you can't find it there, Sally Beauty Supply has it. Its like $3 or $4 a bottle.

Wash 'n Curl works on some hair, but not all hair-- you have to follow the directions on the bottle exactly. You should get a bottle of the conditioner, too.

Some people don't see results with Wash 'n Curl, but I saw some serious results. Is there a shampoo that curls hair after 1 or 2 uses?
    Hmm...

I found this at Hair Cuttery

    It's Cat Walk branded

    And it's called Curlfriends.

I'm not sure if it curls you hair but it's supposed to keep curls strong and frizz-free.

Also you should find some scrunching gel.

    That always makes hair curly.

DONT USE HAIR SPRAY ON WET HAIR.

    Hope I helped you(:
Herbal Essences totally twisted shampoo and conditioner. Cheap too!

Can ';defind curls'; shampoo and condition actually give u curls if u have relax hair?

I have relax hair, meaning straight but with really really soft waves at the end of the hair length, if i use curling shampoo and conditioner for a while, will i actually start getting curls or no?Can ';defind curls'; shampoo and condition actually give u curls if u have relax hair?
No, it will not give you curly hair. Those products are for hair that is already curly. You would have to use a curling iron or know how to curl hair with a flat iron. Especially since you have a relaxer on it. The relaxer has chemically changed the bonds inside your hair to make it straight. Be very, very careful of perms because the chemicals in relaxers and perms do not mix. Your hair will break off right where the two meet. That is called a chemical haircut. Can ';defind curls'; shampoo and condition actually give u curls if u have relax hair?
no...its a gimic! but if its some soft waves or curls you are wanting....get sea salt spray and spriz your hair when its damp....it works the BEST!!! my friend has board straight hair and she gets awesome curls with it...just spritz and scrunch.....add alittle spray wax at the end and your curly sue for the day! and the hold will last!
no, defind curl shampoo is to nourish and take care of your already curly hair, if you want curly hair, i reccomend getting a perm, or a body wave. (: best of luck.
No it wont , the shampoo has been formulated for curly hair, it wouln't make your hair any curlier, only nourish it
    nope.

shampoos and hair products designed for curly hair only ENHANCE the existing curl.

Is herbal essences hello hydration conditioner and the its a curl thing shampoo do the trick?

if i use the herbal essences its a curl things shampoo and then use the hello hydration conditoner will it make my curly hair not frizzy and curly?

i heard somewhere that the hello hydration was good for curly hair - but will using those two different types work?

or should i use different ones together? Is herbal essences hello hydration conditioner and the its a curl thing shampoo do the trick?
Personally I would talk to your stylist. She knows your hair and most likely will be able to come up with a great shampoo and conditioner for you.

Although the ';over the counter'; shampoos are cheeper. You get what you pay for. AND most of what you are buying is water. Thats a fact...that is why is suds up so nicely.

Salon products are more expensive, but you dont need to use as much For example you may use a palm full of your over the counter shampoo...but would only need a quarter size of salon product. Salon product is SO concentrated that you get the effect and the feel of your hair is amazing afterwards.

If you are looking for moisture Try: Paul Mitchell's Moisture Line added by Paul Mitchell's Round Trip. Round trip can make straight hair curly. I love it!!!!Is herbal essences hello hydration conditioner and the its a curl thing shampoo do the trick?
I don't like herbal essences, it gave me dandruff...

but to be honest, i think that when hair product companies say - this one is for curly hair, or - this one is for straight hair, it doesn't make a difference. in my family, i am the only person with properly curly hair. so we alway have to go with the majority and buy shampoo for straight hair. i use it exactly as it says - shampoo and conditioner - and my hair doesn't turn out any different!!!! Its just a way to make money!

What is a good curl activating shampoo?

i've got straight hair. i mean REALLY straight hair. do u know any shampoo that makes hair super curly. the curlier the better. What is a good curl activating shampoo?
try garnier fructis curl contructor shampoo and conditioner .

good luck!!!What is a good curl activating shampoo?
You can use any shampoo and conditioner. Comb out your hair. While it's still wet, apply a good hair gel (not moose) to your hands and keep scrunching up your hair. Scrunch up a bunch of hair and attach hair clips to various sections of your hair. When your hair is almost dry (air dry) remove the clips and scrunch up your hair a little more. You should have some curls.
The absolute best is a new brand just coming out called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair...plus it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types, but they have a Curling Citrus Mango Shampoo, Conditioner and Styling products that are incredible. You'll be able to get Organix in the next few weeks at Kroger, Target, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!

well suave has a shampoo and conditioner for defining curls

but if you dont have any... it doesnt help. use suave's scrunching moose imediatley after showering. make sure your hair is wet and you scrunch a lot. then DONT TOUCH IT. :) if you mess with it,.. you ruin it.
do NOT use Wash %26amp; Curl. It DOES NOT work. I tried it and wasted my money.
I think Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner should do the trick.

As for products, try using Catwalk Curls Rock Step 3: Leave In.

    Good luck!
Well I dont know becaue my hair is bone straight and i love it but i have seen commercials for sunsilk i think its called. you know the one where they say ';get hairapy'; haha instead of therapy. they are so clever! anyways good luck!!
